KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE OF PREVENTIVE STRATEGIES OF RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS AMONG WOMEN (40-65)

This study investigates the level of knowledge and the practical application of preventive strategies for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) among women aged 40–65 attending St. Mary’s Joint Hospital in Amaigbo, Imo State. The research explores awareness of risk factors, early symptoms, lifestyle modifications, and adherence to preventive measures such as physical activity, dietary management, and regular medical check-ups. By identifying gaps in knowledge and practice, the study aims to inform targeted health education programs, enhance early intervention strategies, and promote improved musculoskeletal health among middle-aged and older women. The findings are particularly relevant for healthcare providers, policymakers, and researchers seeking to reduce the burden of RA through preventive care in Nigerian communities.
